LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF JOHN 16:33 (Msg)





"Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for
it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”




10 KEYS ON HOW TO LIVE IN DEEP PEACE IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR STORMS


1. First key -you cannot live in deep peace without first receiving and accepting Jesus as your lord and Saviour . Why? He is the author of our peace .Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
2.You cannot enjoy His deep peace without knowing the author of peace .His word is peace in your spirit . So the more we seek to know Him via His word , the more His peace is established in our spirit. John 14:27"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you ; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
3.Trust in God - trust grows better when you are in your storms and trust is what establishes His peace in our hearts . Key -psalm 62:8 "Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah."
4.Meditate on the word - The word of God is Spirit and life and the life of Christ is a life of peace ,even in our storms . Key- the more we meditate on His word , the more His peace is established in us with patience .Luke 8:15 "But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience."
5.Prayer - produces peace , worry denies you of His peace .So rather than worry , turn it into prayer . key - the deeper the prayer , the deeper the level of peace it brings . Key -phil 4:6,7 (Amp)"Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]."
6. Praise - If you know how to praise God , there is no way you will not enjoy His deep peace . Why? In the midst of your praise He comes to dwell in you . wow ..Key . Psalm 91:1(Amp)"He who [a]dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]."
7.Love is also connected to His peace (one of the fruits of the spirit). Jesus commanded us first to love the father with all our heart , soul , mind and body (Matt 22:37) . Why? without this first step , the second step to love our neighbour as ourselves will always prove difficult , when challenges come to try us . It is the love we have for God that produces the grace in Christ which in turn leads us to have "deep peace" when faced with our challenges or test of faith . 2 Cor 12:9 (Amp)"but He has said to me, “My grace is
sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available —regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. "
8.Adore Him from your spirit - mere mouth worship won't produce any result . Why? He is not there . He comes to dwell in us when we worship and adore Him from deep within . That establishes His deep peace within us .John 4:24 (NIV)"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."
9.Reminding Him of His promises with love and joy - Appreciating Him and thanking Him , produces that love from within us, which comes to establish His deep peace in us . Isaiah 12:3 "With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Depression cannot draw it out , but joy mixed with love for God will produce that needed result , any day . Amen.
10.One of the best times to sow , is in our time of need . What it does is this , because we have a need and we still go ahead to sow , what happens is that we do it by faith and that faith can only come when we are sure ,we trust Him to deliver . So trust , deep trust is established when we sow in our times of need which in turn produces that deep peace in us in the midst of our storms . Bible says Gal 6:7 (NIV)"So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up."



Prayer - Father teach me how to trust you in the midst of my storms in the name of Jesus , Amen.

"And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the grief."




10 KEYS WHEN FACED WITH THE DISCOURAGEMENT THAT WILL BLESS YOU .



1.Peace - When faced with the spirit of discouragement at times , we tend to lose our peace and give in to  the spirit depression and sadness . No! your peace in Christ is what will sustain you when discouragement comes . While in that atmosphere of discouragement , choose deliberately to hold your peace , while God is at work . Key - Job 22:21(Amp)"Now yield and submit yourself to Him [agree with God and be conformed to His will] and be at peace; In this way [you will prosper and great] good will come to you."
2.Watch your thoughts at such times , if you continue to think about what is happening to you or the situation you are facing , you are going to fall for it . No ! deliberately choose to think what God's word says concerning it and be hopeful .Phil 4:8(Amp)" Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]."
3.Sit down to study the word - Is not a time to start telling everyone that cares to listen your story , they also have their own problems too. Sit down in His presence and study .It is in His presence , He comes to encourage you , not outside. 2 Cor 1:3 (Amp)"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ , the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy ) and the God [ who is the source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement)."
4.Prayer - prayer of petition , prayer of thanksgiving very important . Don't fall for the discouragement even for a second , rise to the occasion quickly and do what Jesus did in His moment of discouragement , He prayed the more .Luke 22:44(Amp)"And being in agony [deeply distressed and anguished; almost to the point of death], He prayed more intently; and His [a]sweat became like drops of blood, falling down on the ground."
5. Joy - Is the opposite of allowing the spirit of discouragement to set it . And how do you hold on to that joy in the midst of discouragement ? by giving Him thanks concerning what He has promised you with joy . You might not even understand it , but it works. Isaiah 12:3(NIV)"With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Like Psalm 37:4 .."Father I still thank you , because your word says if I take delight in you , you would grant me the secret petitions of my heart " . Key - play your role by faith and let Him answer you by faith . Mark 11:22 (Amp)" Jesus replied, “Have faith in God[constantly].
6. If you can it helps too - Worship - you can sing a song of worship or play songs of worship and just soak yourself in His presence . When He comes , there is no way you will not be lifted and encouraged again . See the life of David in the book of psalm 63:1"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.".He worshipped ! And that was one weapon that really help David in his times of trouble.
7.Bridle your tongue - Don't be tempted to speak negatively now . Hold your peace and allow the Holy Spirit to put the right words in your mouth to speak . Amen .Isaiah 50:4"The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned."
8.Continue to sow your good seeds and let it not discourage you . If you have an opportunity to help someone still go ahead and do it . key - Psalm 37:3 (NLT)"Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.". It works.
9.Guard your heart because Satan is going to come after it to see that you are discouraged . shut him off . And be positive . confess and say to your self " my God will make it to work for my good in Jesus name , amen. I am His child , period !! Roms 8:28(NLT)"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
10.Finally go into your closet and just thank Him , don't mind the tears ,never let go of your faith and trust in the lord . still appreciate Him and give Him all the glory . Amen. 1 Thess 5:18 (NLT)"Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."

10 KEYS ABOUT THIS VERSE OF SCRIPTURE ." FATHER OF LIES"



1. The Devil is a lair and he has children .ie - the witches , false prophets etc. Never be afraid of those evil words spoken by them against you . Always remember , who their father is ."A liar". Take advantage of this truth and use it against them . Say what God has spoken concerning you and believe it . period! Mark 11:23 (NIV)"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."
2. The reason Satan attacks you , is simply to force you to bend .Refuse him ,he is a liar.1 cor 15:58 (NIV)"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
3. His ideas is a lie , it only leads to death . prov 14:12 (NIV) "There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."
4. His suggestions to you in whatever way is a lie. Gen 3:4,5 "The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
 5. He operates at the level of your human reasoning .One way to beat him to it , is stepping your faith higher .Roms 8:7 (NIV) "The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so."
6.Those evil dreams he brings to you almost every night is a lie; vehemently refuse and reject it speaking the word of God back to him in bold confidence. Prov 28:1 "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion."
7. His evil imaginations is all a lie . See yourself the way God sees you .2 cor 10 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
8. His attacks is only to intimidate you to give up ! Resist him . He is a liar. Amen. James 4:7 NIV) "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
9. He will try to convince you with the facts . Is a lie . The facts has no place to stand in the place of the truth in God's word.2 cor 13:8 (NIV)"For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth."
10. Finally , see your crown and not the pain . James 1:12 (NLT)"
 God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."

"So is the one who goes in to his neighbor’s wife;Whoever touches her will not be found innocent or go unpunished."


10 KEYS WHEN YOU HAVE A WEAKNESS FOR THE OPPOSITE SEX.




1.Prayer - The first thing is prayer . But most times we forget to pray about it , thinking that we can handle this weakness in our own strenght . lol. No , you can't . Except you put that weakness in God's hand , you will definately fall for that temptation . Why? you fail to take heed to His word , that is not by your power ..1 Cor 10:12 (Amp)"Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation.]
2.Stop painting the picture before God , most times rather than tell our Maker the truth , who we have this weakness for . We tend to beat around the bush , like father deliver me from immorality . yes you are correct . But won't it be better if you nail the matter on the head , before your maker . like " father I have this weakness for jane anytime I see her , lord help me , give me the grace to overcome this weakness in my life for her in Jesus name , amen. " Phil 4:6(Amp)"Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God."
3.Avoid those text messages . Why? It will only put your emotions to work . And it gives satan an opportunity to set you up for the ""enticement" .James 1:14(Amp)" But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion)."
4.Avoid those seductive smiles . It will only set you up again for the devil's enticement . Prov 6:25 (Amp)"Do not desire (lust after) her beauty in your heart,Nor let her capture you with her eyelashes."
5.Time to fast . Why? It helps to put your emotions in check and at the same time build up your level of resistance . Paul said in 1 Cor 9:27 (Amp)" But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service]."
6.Worship - worship Him the more with a pure heart , it invites His presence into our lives and it has a way of purifying our spirit, thereby causing a longing for His holiness . ."John 4:23 (Amp)" But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers."
7.Prov 16:6 (Amp)"By mercy and lovingkindness and truth [not superficial ritual] wickedness is cleansed from the heart,And by the fear of the Lord one avoids evil." should be put into practice . Is a key to your deliverance .
8.Apply the force of love . Love never fails (1 Cor 13:8) and it is the greatest gift in scripture . apply all the principles of love and the fear of that weakness will be gone in a flash . 1 Cor 13 (Msg). 1 John 4:18(Amp)"There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]."
9.Agreement prayer - find a confidante that you can share this burden with and pray an agreement prayer concerning it with faith . God will answer !! Matt 18:19(Amp)"Again I say to you, that if two [a]believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."
10.Never be discouraged about your weakness . but here is the key . Let His joy become your strenght at all times . John 15:11(Amp)"I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing."


Prayer : Father deliver me from this "weakness" lord in the name of Jesus , Amen.

"Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be an offensive odor, for he has been dead four days! [It is hopeless!]”


10 KEYS WHEN THE CASE IS GETTING WORSE OR LOOKS HOPELESS .


1.Don't panic ! I have learnt from experience not too , it doesn't help matters .So I don't .I learnt from what Jesus did in scripture . I discovered , He usually withdrew Himself from the crowd to pray. So I take time off to pray . I stay at home for a day or two to just be in His presence ,enjoy Him, worship Him and let Him give me counsel on what to do next . At times , while in His presence , relief will come and I am back on my feet again . The key is taking time off to seek Him for counsel , when matters get out of hand. Amen. John 14:26(Amp)" But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener,
Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you."`
2. Hold your peace - your peace is a weapon against any kind of storm , it allows God to work and it helps put the enemy in check . two scriptures that will encourage and convince you .Job 22:21 (ESV)"Agree with God, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you." and the book of Exodus 14:14 (NIV)"The LORD ill
fight for you; you need only to be still." it is when we hold our peace , the power in these scripture comes alive, not before .
3.Prayer - Never under estimate the power of prayer . I learnt this secret from Jesus , when He was faced with agony in Gethsemane , most believers at this point will give up like the disciples who slept because of the grief they felt in their heart ..Luke 22:45 (Amp)"When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow", not Jesus bible says He prayed the more earnestly for strength to face the cross He was about to carry . Luke 22:44 (Amp)"And being in agony [deeply distressed and anguished; almost to the point of death], He prayed more intently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down on the ground." . Call on God and don't give up or panic.
4.Beware of discouragement - you have every reason to be discouraged , But choose not to . Why? if you do , you would open the door for the enemy to take advantage of you . Discouragement leads to lost of hope , stops your faith from working , steals the joy you need for your harvest to become a testimony .See Joel 1:12"The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men." That is what discouragement can do , it can kill your very harvest , if you allow it. Be encouraged like David . 1 Sam 30:6b.
5.Psalm 30:5 (NIV)" weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." - Listen weeping is allowed , but don't allow it cause your faith to waver . God has not abandoned you yet. weeping only helps you to release your emotions . After that , with boldness you return back to the lord in prayer
laying your demands / request before Him . Amen. Bible says we should approach His throne of mercy with boldness not with fear or discouragement. Heb 4:16 (Amp)"Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time
of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]."
6.Joy - The key here is this , you keep your joy and don't let that joy go. You won't get it right the first time , but with constant practice , your joy in the Lord will hit that perfection level, that no matter what joy remains . Amen. Key- Let what He has promised you be your strength . Act on it and be joyful in it .
It has always worked for me in the midst of my storms . Why? It throws the enemy off guard and render him helpless . Question ? How do you attack a man who still chooses to remain joyful despite it all ? Now here is the answer found in the book of John 15:11 (NIV)"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."
7.Bridle your tongue - Key - when situations get out of hand , we are always tempted to say the wrong things , pointing accusing fingers , he did it /she caused it . Don't! bridle your tongue . Lest your enemy use your words against you for the finishing. (of his wickedness) . Choose deliberately to speak the way
God would speak and pray just how Jesus would pray. Is your key . 1 peter 4:11b (NLT)"Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you."
8. Two are better than one , bible says there is a reward (Eccl 4:9). Find a genuine confidante you can trust and pray about it again. There is always this release and hope raising again , when you pray with someone of like faith. James 5:16 (NIV)"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
9.Watch this one - When things get worse, still don't doubt God . Choose "deliberately" not to still doubt . Hold your ground just like the three Hebrew boys (Daniel 3:18). Listen , is either of two things .1 that God will use it to teach you something or use it to work out something for your good (Roms 8:28) or deliver you outright.(Joel 2:32) . So we don't doubt , but give Him thanks as He has commanded . Is not everything we are going to understand until we finally meet with Him Amen. Prov 3:5(NLT)"Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding." . Remember Joseph how God turned the evil that the enemy brought against him for his good . Be encouraged ! Gen 50:20(Amp)"As
for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present outcome, that many people would be kept alive [as they are this day]."
10.Hosea 4:6 (NIV)"my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children." - This is  key , it works .Find out from scripture what you don't know yet and what you need to do . I give you an example from the book of psalm 41:1-3 read verse one ..what happens when you consider those that don't have .God preserves your life . Are you sick ? Are your enemies after you ? go and consider the poor and remind God of what you have done in faith . Isaiah 43:26 (Amp)"Remind Me [of your merits  with a thorough report], let us plead and argue our case together; State your position, that you may be proved right."




Prayer : Father bring me out of this my "issue" in the name of Jesus , father now in Jesus name , Amen. ( Mention the issue to Him in faith )

LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF ROMANS 8:17 (NLT)



"And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering."


10 THINGS WE MUST ALSO SHARE BEFORE THE GLORY .


1. Shame - Nobody likes shame and nobody likes to be put to shame . But Jesus suffered it when He died shamefully on the cross . Are you currently suffering shame , let it not discouraged you . If Jesus went through it , He will see you through your shame too in Jesus name ,amen. I remember years ago , I only had just two faded shirts and a trouser، I wore from weekend to another weekend . washing and re-washing over again , but today the lord has taking me pass that shame , He will do yours "whatever" it is in Jesus name , Amen. Psalm  46:1(NLT)" God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."
2. Persecution - Every believer must pass through this class , if you are to finish well in your ministry . Even when we receive our blessings we are still not exempted from persecution . Is what keeps us in line with God .Mark 11:30"But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life."
3. Weariness - Every child of God must pass through this class . Are you becoming weary ? Are you tired of the giving , praying and sowing the seed of faith ? Don't be . your second season is also coming . Jesus was weary yet He needed to pass through Samaria. Amen. John 4:6 "Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour."
4.He was despised by men - O boy , if you are a believer and you have not experienced this , check your salvation again . Even if you are very rich , men will still despise you even the more because of your wealth .Here again Jesus gave us the key in the book of John 16:1(NLT)"I have told you these things so that you won't abandon your faith." do not be offended , but rather give thanks to your maker who informed you before hand of these things that would happen .
5.Nobody desired him - Nothing to talk about , he was not beautiful or handsome , He was looked down upon as nothing . Is this your experience . Then you are in good company because Jesus passed through it before you . Amen. Let it not move you . here is the key in the book of Isaiah 60:15 ( NLT) ""Though you were once despised and hated, with no one traveling through you, I will make you beautiful forever, a joy to all generations."Is a promise , so keep it and believe it will be so for you in Jesus name , Amen.
6.Jesus passed through sorrows - Even His very brothers and Sisters  didn't believe in Him , His own people didn't believe in Him . Listen ,do not be discouraged because nobody believes in your dream or believe that you can make it . believe in the God who created you and believe in Jesus who gives you the strength to do all things. you can and you will become a great person in life in Jesus name ,Amen. John 14:1 (NIV)"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me."
7.Jesus went though grief -His very own disciples whom He had taking time to train , deserted Him in His our of need . Why are you now surprised with the outcome of your life ? From grief Jesus went into greatness till date. Rev 3:21 (NLT)"Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne." . It can happen in your life too , so never be discouraged . Amen.
8.Jesus went through affliction -Are you passing through one now , and you are saying I want to give up ? No , say no and stand your ground .If it is not working out something in your life , God would not allow it . Listen , if not for my afflictions I would not have known Jesus the way I do now , it drove me to seek
and know Him even more and now I am just having a wonderful time in His presence . Why? Because I have come to know how faithful He is . 2 Cor 4:17(Amp)" For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! "
9. He was ridiculed  and laughed to scorn . Let it not move you , but hold on to your confession for He that has promised you , will never fail you .Luke 8:53" And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.".Heb 10:23 (Amp)"Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]; "
10.They called Him a demon , a liar and so many derogatory names . Why are you allowing yours to move you ? Jesus wasn't moved by it, rather He stepped on it and held on to the joy ahead of Him . Heb 12:2 (Amp)"[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]."
