TEN OPPORTUNITIES GOD BRINGS OUR WAY.

 LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF GALATIANS 6:10(NLT)

"Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone--especially to those in the family of faith."

1. Opportunities to thank God - God gives us the opportunity to thank Him, especially when we face diverse temptations/trials /challenges. why? So He can prove to the enemy , who He is , The very "I AM , I AM".Psalm 46:10 (NLT)"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world."

2. Opportunities to praise Him- When prayer seems to be delaying , He gives us that prompting to change to praise , so He can prove to that stubborn enemy , that there is no God like Him. Case in point Jehoshaphat when confronted with five Kings , He resorted to praise and the miraculous happened ! Amen.2 Chron 20:20 (NLT)"At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves"

3.Opportunities to pray - He creates this opportunity for us , When He wants the enemy to see He is the God of signs and wonders . Case in point , when Elijah cried unto God at the hour of the evening sacrifice , when he was confronted with the prophets of baal . what Happened ? He prove himself again as the God of signs and wonders . And the people  bowed their heads to the ground before God . 1 Kings 18:39 (NLT)"And when all the people saw it, they fell face down on the ground and cried out, "The LORD--he is God! Yes, the LORD is God!"

4.Opportunities to forgive - He creates this opportunity when he wants to open a door of blessing , that normally it would take like 6 months of consistent prayer to open. How do I know this? The power of forgiveness works quicker at times , than the power of prayer . When somebody hurts us deeply , and he sees we would have reacted back , but because of Him , we choose to forgive and forget , He is deeply moved , to me , we remind Him of the pain His son went through on the cross , rather than react , he chose to forgive . He is provoked to step in , and do for us , what normally would have taken some time .Matthew 6:14(NIV)"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

5.Opportunities to show we love Him-God gives us this opportunity all the time ,which comes in the form of a sacrifice . Example , Spending time in His presence , giving to the poor , giving to Him what you love to keep etc. Gen 22:15-16(Msg)"The angel of God spoke from Heaven a second time to Abraham: “I swear—God’s sure word!—because you have gone through with this, and have not refused to give me your son, your dear, dear son, I’ll bless you—oh, how I’ll bless you!"

6.Opportunities to fast - He creates this opportunity for us , when he sees our spiritual life is now becoming dull. Isaiah 58:6 (NIV)""Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?" 

7.Opportunities to study the word - When he sees our word level is going down , he can shut down all other activities , so we can sit down at home and meditate on the word. He does this , by creating a craving in our spirit to sit down and study the word .Another reason for this also , is when He sees the enemy is planning an attack , He gets us prepared so we can use the word to fight and not to shrink in fear. Isaiah 59:19"So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."

8.Opportunities to give - from experience , When we ask Him for something we "need" , He creates an opportunity for us to sow into the life of people who are also in need , especially the poor , so He in return can fulfil His promise in our lives .Prov 22:9 (NIV)"The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

9.Opportunities to work in His vineyard - You can't miss this one . He loves those , who work in His vineyard . So the opportunity is always open for those who are interested . 1 cor 15:58 (NIV)"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

10. Opportunities to testify - He does all the above for us to have the opportunity to testify of His faithfulness .Luke 21:13 (Amp)"This will be a time (an opportunity) for you to bear testimony."
