10 KEYS - DEALING WITH A RELENTLESS ENEMY

LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF 1 SAMUEL 23:25 (ESV)

"And Saul and his men went to seek him. And David was told, so he went down to the rock and lived in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon"

1. Focus - If you focus all your strength on the enemy , you will lose strength and become weak , because the enemy you are dealing with is not only stubborn , but he is relentless . Key- Re-focus that energy on your maker (God) and let Him deal with it .1 Peter 5:7(WNT)"Throw the whole of your anxiety upon Him, because He Himself cares for you."  When you are carnal with your thoughts (focusing on the enemy) you lose strength , but when you are spiritually minded you gain strength . Roms 8:6(Amp)

2.Faith - Your faith is a very strong weapon , never let down your shield of faith .whether you  are weak or tired of the attacks ,persecutions, oppression  etc, always use your faith as your shield to stop the fiery darts of the wicked (Eph 6:16) . This is the key you should always remember - Mark 11:22(Amp)"And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]."NB: Note the word "constantly" in and out of season .

3.Trust -Keep your trust in God in tact .You might get discouraged at times , because of his relentless pursuit , but let it not stop you from praying , seeking God , praising Him in the midst of it all . Why? Here is the key - Psalm 37:40 "And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him". your deliverance is hidden in the word TRUST!

4. Meditate  on the word daily . Is your spiritual food . If you fail to eat , what happens ? your body becomes weak . so in the spiritual, if you fail to feed on the word daily , you would become spiritually weak to meet up with the challenge .prov 24:10 (NLT)"If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small." Key- Search for scriptures in the bible to meditate upon and hold on fast to it .Roms 15:4(Amp)

5.Prayer and fasting -There is no way round it . If you are to deal with a relentless enemy. it builds your spiritual muscles and gives you an edge over him . Isa 58:6(NASB)"Is this not the fast which I choose, To loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free And break every yoke?"

6.Keep your praise on 24/7 - I call it the last weapon . if all other weapons fail .Praise cannot fail. Is an invitation that allows the Master Himself (God) to come into the case .Psalm 22:3"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."Key - Satan does not know what to do with people who keep praising God in the midst of a trial.

7.Sow more seeds - encourage others passing through trials , still proclaim the faithfulness of Jesus , tell how good he is , seek every opportunity to do good . They are all seeds and God says as long as this earth remains seed time and harvest shall not cease (Gen 8:22) so continue to load your cloud in the midst of the stubborn pursuit of the enemy, when it is full the rain will come pouring down . Eccl 11:3 (Amp)"  If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if a tree falls toward the south or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie.". This is what I do at times , if he hits me ones , I look for people to do good to (twice). (psalm 37:1-3) . sowing my seeds for the harvest.

8. Never reminisce about what the enemy is doing to you , it will only discourage you the more and lead you into depression . Stay focused, set your eyes on the prize like Jesus and be highly expectant . for at such times God can make the very impossible take place . Amen. Psalm 126:1(NIV)" A song of ascents. When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed."Listen, this scripture can happen to you in a flash . So keep your faith and trust in Him burning !!

9.At such times be more thankful . why? Only God knows and has seen what the enemy planned against you . you are alive , is what thanking God for . So keep a heart of gratitude . It will help you to stay focus before the reward comes in like rain . 1 Thess 5:18(NLT)"Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."

10.Now here is some  good news , just to encourage you the more to stay focus on Christ. Romans 8:17(Msg)"If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!"Key- Make it your confession always with a thankful heart .
