LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF JOHN 9:8,9 .(Msg)



"8 Soon the town was buzzing. His relatives and those who year after year had seen him as a blind man begging were saying, “Why, isn’t this the man we knew, who sat here and begged?”9 Others said, “It’s him all right!” But others objected, “It’s not the same man at all. It just looks like him.”

He said, “It’s me, the very one.”


10 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOUR BREAKTHROUGH.




1. His own family members and neighbour's "friends" never expected his situation to change . meaning they took delight in seeing him beg (suffer) .Now here is some good news from the lord to you  that is on His waiting list..Zep 3:19(NIV)"I will give them praise and honor in every land where they have suffered shame."
2.His miracle brought about a controversy from the very people  one would have thought would be happy for him. but remember my friend what God is saying to you today from the book of James 1:2(ISV)"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials,". Be strong  and let nothing steal your joy while you wait !
3. Listen , the reason for the delay , is to still prepare you spiritually , so that you can be strong when the blessings come . Why? Is not every one who is going to rejoice with you ,most especially "some" who are close to you .Read the text above ,lest you become discouraged again and wish you where still in Egypt . Exo 14:12(NIV)"Didn't we say to you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians'? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!"
4..Know this , because some people don't expect your story to change , when it does happen , get ready for those that will take offence at your testimony. you have to boldly stand up to their faces like this man, that it is " you " . John 9:9b(Msg)"He said, “It’s me, the very one.” Why? They never thought you would one day buy a Bentley , they never thought one day  you would own your own house, have a child , get married . Amen. Is your rime !! Rejoice .
5.To them , they prayed he would beg forever ; but to God it was only for a season .1 Peter 5:10(NIV)"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."
6.This man had faith . While he was waiting for his change to come , he held his peace . they called him a beggar, yet he held his peace .Job 22:21(NLT)"Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you.". Hold your peace , something good is coming .
7.This man believed Jesus , despite the fact that he could not see Him. Question ? Do you still believe that God can still change your situation ? reflect on that. for Jesus said in the book of John 20:29(NIV)Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
8.No matter what you  think your situation is , scripture still encourages us to have faith . why ? The book of Psalm 112:4(ESV)"Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous.
9.This man despite the fact that he couldnt see , despite the "situation " in his life , obeyed Jesus . Simple instruction "go wash in the pool of siloam ""go wash your neigbours car " " go sweep the church" "come today for prayer meeting" . Key- you don't know the instruction that will bring in your long awaited miracle . be obedient and expectant . Heb 10:37"For, "In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay." There is always light at the end of very tunnel
10. And finally , keep growing in the dark , your day of laughter is just around the corner in Jesus name , amen. .Acts 2:2"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting".   He is the God of suddenly !!
